During January 3-5, 2021, COERR Mae Hong Son organized the Oral and Dental Healthcare for the vulnerable displaced children attending COERR Learning Center “Child Friendly Space” in Ban Mai Nai Soi Temporary Shelter, Mae Hong Son Province.
Children were taught how to brush their teeth in the right way; that they should brush their teeth twice daily, morning and evening, in order to clean their teeth, prevent cavities, stimulate their gums which helps them healthy and avoid gum disease.
There were 100 children participating in the activity, consisting of 59 girls and 41 boys. Tooth brushing training was arranged in groups so that all children were taken care of, and to ensure that they make proper brushing. They also practiced new normal physical distancing during the Covid-19 pandemic.
For children themselves, they found the activity amusing as they could meet their friends, learn and practise tooth brushing together.
